Leslie Lauste poses for the camera with his mother in their garden. Meanwhile, his father is filmed sorting out the overrun garden followed by the garden's return to normal. On VJ Plus Day Leslie, dressed in uniform, picks apples from a tree in the garden, joined by his parents. He and his mother are filmed picking apples again in October before he drives his mother up the driveway and away from the family home. Car number plate NJ 7119.
