Footage of Brighton seafront seen from the Palace Pier, and views of Shoreham Harbour and Hove Boating Lake, taken by Mr. Harrison in around 1963, before Brighton Marina was built.

Gulls gather on the stones near the shallows of Brighton Beach. Views of Brighton from the Palace Pier follow, looking east and west. The camera pans across Madeira Drive and the Regency buildings of Kemptown seafront to Black Rock. The coastline is absent of Brighton Marina, built in the early 1970s. Scenes at Shoreham-by-Sea follow. Boats and ships are seen in the harbour. The sea and beach are seen at dusk. Swans glide through the water of Hove Boating Lake, beach huts line the promenade behind. The camera pans across the industrial area of Shoreham. Huge tanks are seen, positioned behind a large moored ship, 'Ben Bates' is seen on its side. Wider panning views of Shoreham harbour follow.
