A colour amateur film showing a group of Brownies and Girl Guides from the 3rd Hove groups performing dances, playing games and rock climbing in and around their camp of tents in a field at Hillside campsite in Small Dole.

Description

The film opens with a group of girls carrying pieces of wood to the Hillside camp site at Small Dole. Others are seen with their tents and playing on the grass wearing bobble hats and long knee-length socks. On one of their activities, the Brownies and Girl Guides attempt to rock climb whilst an adult holds their safety rope, laughing as one struggles to pull herself up the rock. Later back at camp they perform Maypole style dances, as a large group sit on the grass to watch. The film closes with a gathering for a meal sat in a circle. The girls take plates out of brightly coloured cloth bags whilst sat on the ground.
