Summary

An Albany Productions Film Unit comedy sketch, produced in 1977. Three men play cards and drink themselves into a stupor while the wife is away.

Description

A man reads a copy of The Sun Newspaper at home in his living room. His wife leaves before the doorbell rings. The man beckons his visitors inside, pouring brandy for himself and his two male guests. They each drink the liquor, before he pours some more. One of the men deals card from a deck. They play card games, drink and smoke thin cigars. The clock reads 20 minutes to 10. One of the men lights the wrong end of his cigarette with a flame from the fire. They start drinking another bottle from the drinks cabinet. Cigarette butts fill the ashtray. One of the men turns the empty bottle over. The label reads: 'Tonic for Pregnant Women'. The End.
