Film of members of the Gowlland family on holiday in Scandinavia, revisiting many of the sights they went to on their trip to Denmark in '52 and Norway in '54. In Denmark they pass through Ribe and Romo, go to Hans Christian Andersen's house in Odense and see the Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen. In Norway, they go to the Holmenkollen ski jump, revisit the Vigeland Sculpture Park in Oslo, and take in the landscape and culture of the region.
