The film begins with scenes of a horse show with horse jumping and other equestrian events possibly at the Aldershot Tattoo (?). A sign by the arena reads ‘Empire Exhibition & Flower Show'. This is followed by an outdoor performance of ballet.
Film of the Embertons on holiday in Devon with their children and nanny then opens with the title ‘Autumn on Dartmoor’. Scenes of the countryside in Devon include walks through a woods, Dartmoor ponies, scenes on a farm and where they stayed - the Manor House Hotel in Okehampton. The title 'Springtime in Chobham' then opens scenes back at the family home in Surrey. Views of flowers and trees in the garden are inter cut with the two daughters, Jocelyn and Gillian engaged in various activities in the garden, looking a little older now and clearly filmed a few years on from earlier parts of the film.
