Scenes of the Emberton family at home a few months after their second daughter was born and on outings including a picnic and boating on the River Wey.


A young Jocelyn plays in the garden with her dolls, her parents, their dog Jake, and in a pedal car. Her baby sister, Gillian, is filmed being held by family members in the garden. The group, sitting on a garden wall and steps include the parents, Joseph and Kathleen, the grandparents, and sister Jocelyn with her knees in bandages. They take it in turns to hold the baby. The family are then filmed on a picnic by a pond in Midhurst, Jocelyn is wearing a nurses outfit. their nanny sits with them. The family then go boating on the River Wey between Peasmarsh and Woking with family members ('Auntie Ursula' and 'Ted'). This is followed by further family scenes of the children's grandfather and mother in the garden passing a cigarette. On a walk in the woods, mother and daughter Jocelyn pick bluebells and Jocelyn sits with her father leaning against a tree.
