A wartime wedding complete with preparations at the bride's family home, the gathering at the church and reception.
A black and white family compilation that opens with family members and the bridesmaid arriving at the bride's family home and being greeted by extended family.
We then see various stages of the grooming and dressing preparations including hair crimping in the garden, the bride putting on her lace adorned wedding dress and helping the bridesmaid, and the men adjusting ties and shirt sleeve garters. Several large cars transports the family to the church where the other guests congregate. Following the service, the bride and groom exit the church to a waiting photographer where a series of portrait photo line-ups ensue and lots of confetti is thrown, before the couple depart for the reception.
Well-dressed guests mingle and drink as the pageboy waits patiently next to the two-tiered wedding cake before it is cut by the bride and groom.
