A compilation of amateur material recording events at Fan Court Preparatory School for Boys at Chertsey between 1952 and 1955.
The film opens with exterior images of the buildings comprising Fan Court School, as well as an interior shot of the main hall and staircase. The pupils are filmed playing cricket on the school pitch. Later they are watched by friends and family at the school Sports Day. The boys participate in the high jump, the long jump, an egg-and-spoon race, a sack race, and a three-legged race.
In 1953 the boys are seen playing another cricket match - this time however female teachers bat. Another Sports Day sees the fathers competing in a running race.
In 1954 the boys perform in a play which takes place on the school steps. Wearing fancy dress and watched by seated adults, they appear to be performing a play centred around the Cavalier years. The annual Sports Day involves an egg-and-spoon race, a discus competition, a sack race and a fathers' running race.
Parents gather at the recently completed outdoor swimming pool in 1955 where they watch their sons diving into the pool and swimming.
