Summary

An amateur film of various events including a scout camp and a royal cavalcade.

Description

Opening scenes of chalets along the side of a river then a canal with locks and weir. Children play in the countryside and the family visit Stourhead landscaped garden. Some fleeting images of a liner with four funnels at Southampton, Maidstone street scenes and exterior shots of Canterbury Cathedral follow.

A procession of horse drawn and motorised vehicles stops in Windsor Great Park and waits by the roadside as King George V and Queen Mary pass by in an open horse-drawn carriage with entourage.

later mixed scenes at a scout camp follow showing a series of outdoor cooking, eating, playing, acrobatics, and 'Reveille' activities.

In London on Abingdon Street, street scenes show the Palace of Westminster and Westminster Hall with roadside exterior of The Lady Chapel and the mounted statue of Richard I in Old Palace Yard.
