An amateur film of family trips around the UK including Whipsnade and Chessington zoos.

The film opens with scenes in Postbridge, on Dartmoor, with family trips to rural villages and shots of a Royal Navy ship off the coast. At a sand quarry, men and children fill and load sandbags onto trucks. Snowy scenes of a canal, its banks and weir follow. Fleeting scenes of the 1937 Coronation of George VI celebrations in London and a local parade with union flag bunting. The family enjoy trips to both Whipsnade and Chessington Zoos. Close up shots of the animals.

A black and white still image taken from TID 13475 showing the exterior of a large multi-storey shop front on a busy street. The exterior of the frontage above the cantilevered awning, has been decorated with moving objects in honour of King Georg VI's coronation. A crown bearing the date 1937, sits above two rotating globes, a moving miniature train, ornate banners and a replica of the front of Buckingham Palace (?) all precisely displayed for visitors to see.
