An amateur film of everyday activities at Fegans Children's Home at Stony Stratford in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Boys are seen eating at long refectory tables.
Intertitle: 'Woodwork class'. Lessons follow,with a teacher supervising.
Intertitle: Washing Time: the boys queue and wash at sinks before a meal in the refectory.
Intertitle: 'Sports records board'. A look at the board which records the boys achievements.
Intertitle: 'Christmas Dinner'. The boys in smart uniforms enjoy Christmas dinner with napkins tucked into their collars. A young boy is pushed along on a trolley by kitchen staff and vigorously fans the Christmas pudding as it is alight, much to the delight of the other children. After the meal the boys wash up.
Intertitle: 'Model Railway Club'. The boys gather around a train set.

After a large meeting in the hall the boys rush off to bed past the tuck shop stand.

Views of the interior of the chapel and breakfast scenes in the refectory follow. The boys clean and smarten themselves in the bathrooms. A boy visits Matron for some medical assistance. Behind the scenes views of the laundry, sewing room, clothes and food storage area follow. The boys at leisure, read, play chess and make their beds in the dormitory.
