An amateur film portrait of a family having fun at the seaside in Margate, at home and on visits to local sites, along with a Christening after the arrival of a new baby.
A family have fun at the seaside in the water, playing in the sand, eating ice creams and riding a donkey on a wide sandy beach. A large crowd gathers to watch elephants at the water's edge. The family take a ride on the Margate pier train and back on the beach the family play in the sand and fly a kite.
A walk on Darland Banks in Gillingham is followed by scenes of the children and family at home in the garden. The family visit Mote Park and ride the narrow gauge railway.
More family scenes show interior scenes of a new baby at home, followed by a christening in church, the young child learning to walk, playing in the garden and paddling pool with friends.
The family sit on Gravesend harbourside and watch ships and boats coming into port. The Port of London Authority Thames Navigation Service building (Royal Terrace Pier, Gravesend) can be seen, The Gravesend Ferry arrives and departs and the next scenes are taken on-board the ferry as it makes its way to the next dock. Back at home in the garden, the young child seen earlier plays.
