Summary
A collection of family films by Amateur film-maker Bob Burns, from the late 1950s to mid 1970s. Films includes holidays to the Balearic Islands and several Butlin's and Warner holiday camps in the UK. Other films show a collection of weddings at North Bersted Parish Church (West Sussex) and a series of family outings and group trips by Royal Oak Pub Darts club.

Description
This collection dating from the late 1950s to mid 1970s features the family of Bob Burns enjoying several family holidays to a series of Butlin's Holiday camps that includes Wick Ferry, Skegness, Minehead, Clacton-on-Sea and the Warners Woodside Bay camp on the Isle of Wight. Other holidays include a visit to The Tropicana, a former lido in Weston-super-Mare and a holiday to the Baleric Island of Mallorca.
Closer to home, Burns captured outings by the Darts club from a local pub, the Royal Oak. The group regularly took a Southdown coach to Maidenhead, to take trips on the river towards Windsor, Reading and later the Isle of Wight.
The films also show highlights of Bognor Carnival, a Pram race for Rag Week, a series of weddings at North Bersted Parish Church, and family gatherings featuring the Burns' children, at a South Bersted Cricket Match, playing in a domestic garden and with friends and family at Christmas time.

One of the older men is dressed in Home Guard uniform (fancy dress?). Scenes also show a group horse riding, and several men playing a game in a field (?) behaving mischievously. This film shows a Burns family holiday to the Butlin's camp at Skegness. Mother and her two children walk amongst flower beds, one girl being pushed in pram the other girl walking alongside, followed by scenes of the land train approaching and passing the camera. The family get ice lollies on the beach, take riding lessons at the "Butlin's Riding School" and watch several resort events that includes a beauty pageant (?) and a police motorcycle stunt team display.
