Description
Lewis Stanley Dudkin (known as Stanley) filmed his family, regular trips abroad, weddings and local events from the 1930s through to the 1980s. Stanley Dudkin was the son of Russian Jewish immigrants; his father Abraham settling in Brighton in 1909 and establishing a fur business along with photography studios in the town. Born and raised in Brighton, Stanley continued the family fur business whilst capturing his family and their travels on cine film. The films include cruises and visits to Europe across the 1930s, trips to Holland and Belgium in 1937, a tour of the USA in 1939 and a visit to Israel in 1963. There are also local scenes of Glyndebourne, Shoreham, Haywards Heath and Brighton.

An El Al airline plane is seen at the airport, and members of the Dudkin family visit Israel including the Weizmann Institute of Science, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Nazareth, Galilee, Acre, and Jerusalem.

Two young girls in red dresses play on slides and walk hand in hand with their mother and an older woman. The girls also walk hand in hand with a man [Mr Dudkin?]. The older of the two girls goes on a pony ride.
