This collection from The Invicta Car Club Archive shows several historic moments: including Noel Macklin's [later Sir Noel Campbell Macklin] tenure at the Fairmile Garage in Cobham, that includes the Garage works itself; Violette Cordery (Violet) (a racing Driver and Macklin's Sister-in-Law) undertaking various legs of the Motoring World Tour in 1927; and the Cordery attempt at the 30,000 Mile Trial at Brooklands with her sister Evelyn in 1929.
Other family films in the collection include: The Motor Cycling Club London to Lugano Run in 1927; watching an attempt at the 24 Heurs Le Mans race with Johnny Hindmarsh (Violette's husband); Charles Brackenbury in a Lagonda LG45; and the wedding of Mia Macklin (Noel's daughter, a professional figure skater) to Peter Rowland Hodge in 1940.
