This collection comprises a series of one off and longer compilations of films held by Screen Archive South East, re-edited and reworked into productions for use in screenings, talks, museum and gallery displays and for online promotional purposes.

These original works highlight popular themes from across the region, from the Hop pickers in Kent, leisure time activities in Chichester, Eastbourne, the Witterings and Bosham Harbour, life in the region during World War 2; alongside a series of newly created works by staff and students at the University of Brighton using material from the SASE collection.

This collection also highlights content that is key to exploring a region or event through film. For example, "Maidstone on Film", one of the longest in the collection at just over an hour long, chronicles activities and events such as 'The Kent Show' 'A visit to Maidstone Zoo' and 'The Chegworth Watermill' in operation, thereby providing a significant character study of Maidstone and the surrounding area which provides a great example of the collections range.
