Beach Snapshots showing scenes of the Brighton Swimming Club from the Roger Dunford 16mm film collection with added soundtrack and interviews from members of the swimming club; including some oral history extracts and photographs. This was part of a project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2011.
Surbiton Swimming Gala in Modern School Cricket Week
Pupils at the co-educational Modern School in Surbiton in 1947 play football and cricket on local playing fields. The boys also participate in diving practice and swimming races, cheered on by schoolmates. The school was founded in 1924 before closing in 1955.

This colour and black and white family film shows a family on a seaside holiday, in Botany Bay, Broadstairs. The film also shows mixed views of a mare and foal in a field, a child playing with its shadow, playing in a muddy puddle, and a baby in a pram. The final film taken in 1950 at Spratling Court Farm, shows two children playing in the garden on a blanket with their toys.
Holiday in North Devon
A film showing a family holiday and domestic scenes in Crawley. The first part shows the children paddling in the North Devon sea, playing on the rocks and building sandcastles. The second part shows the family playing in a playground and attending a Harvest Festival event at Three Bridges Free Church. The children help to rake fallen leaves in a garden, celebrating (a birthday or Christmas ?) with presents and on an outing to the countryside.

Film of the Emberton family on holiday in Jersey filmed by the father, Joseph Emberton. The film shows the St. Brelade’s Bay Hotel where they stayed, with panoramas of the bay and surrounding landscape. The film features his wife Kathleen and teenage daughters Jocelyn and Gillian on the beach, body boarding and on outings.
Sands of Time
A publicity film in which a young American man writes a letter to a vicar he met during his stay in East Sussex. Back in America he recalls the places he visited; his letter forms the spoken narrative over the images.

Colour film of Queen's Road Baptist Church, Wimbledon's Sunday School outings to Bognor Regis beach over nine years in the 1950s. In each trip adults and children from the group are seen gathering outside the church and then at the seaside. The children are filmed on the beach, getting changed, playing in the water, eating ice cream, and playing beach cricket.
This edited colour and black and white film features a Scouting pack at the Twyford Scout Camp. The film opens with views of the River Thames, a lock surrounded by flowers and mixed views of a church. The film also includes views of the River Loddon and the Ford across the Old River, Twyford followed by mixed views of the Scouts setting up camp in a large field and playing games and sports with their families.
