A compilation of films of local interest which which were exhibited in a newsreel format at the Capitol Cinema in Walton-on-Thames by its manager Clifford Spain. The films, from 1922, 1931 and 1932, record community events including an RSPCA horse show and several garden fetes. The camera pays much attention to recording the visitors who frequent the events.

Film of the Gowlland family on various outings in the Summer of 1955. The film shows the family on walks at Fairlight cove; and in the garden in August, playing badminton and cards. The family members indulge in various pass-times on a visit to the beach at Middleton near Bognor Regis, and stay at a holiday cottage there. They also visit Bodiam Castle, Rye, Chichester and go to the races at Kempton Park in October.

The Rotary Club of Sunbury on Thames captures views of Sunbury and its its surroundings with a descriptive commentary, including river scenes, the railway, town centre buildings, suburban housing, and businesses. There are scenes along the Thames, taking in Windsor Castle and Hampton Court, and the film ends with a Rotary Club luncheon party.

This film shows the family playing in the snow and attempting to start a classic car with a hand crank. This is followed by plants in the lean-to greenhouse and shots of a friends wedding. The Fulwell Bus depot in Teddington shows the last trolley buses. The family go on several outings to Great Windsor park and the children play together at home.

This film shows a family moving house, going on a camping holiday, playing on a beach and visiting the Kent town of Canterbury. The family tour the street, capturing views of the historic Cathedral gate, War Memorial and shops. The film closes with several members of the family rowing Skiffs on the River Thames.
