Do You Know Your Sussex
This film takes the viewer on a brief tour of Sussex towns, villages and places of interest, inviting us to guess the identity of each location as it appears in the film. The answer is revealed with an inter title after each place featured. The film was made by Mr Phil Ellis, a member of the Institute of Amateur Cinematographers.
[The Midhurst Line; Petworth to Petersfield]
Steam tains on the Midhurst line calling at rural stations including Selham, Petworth and Fittleworth before reaching Pulborough. The return journey is by 'push-pull train' to Midhurst then on to Petersfield, on the Portsmouth mainline. The film also shows a railtour's arrival at Midhurst where people gather to see one of the last trains on the line.
