A compilation of home movie material taken by airline pilot Captain William Armstrong whilst in Egypt. A group of White-European people are filmed having a picnic where they are entertained by a local magician. A cruise liner and naval ship join the local craft in port. A pan of a city's rooftop is followed by images of the film-maker's young children.

White-European travellers depart from Italy by sea, playing deck games as their journey gets underway. During his trip to Egypt the film-maker climbs one of the Pyramids, filming a panoramic shot from its zenith. Elsewhere, biplanes perform displays in tight formation. The film ends with footage of a multi-generational picnic.

Home movie footage of family gatherings and outings. Children are filmed paddling in the sea, the film-maker and his family take a ride on a miniature steam train, and go on a picnic, and a set of grandparents hold a young baby in a garden.

This black and white family film provides views of the Forbidden City, Beijing and the surrounding buildings. The second film opens with views from a balcony overlooking a courtyard, and shots of the Simpson family car surrounded by a group of local men within a ring of rickshaws.

This film shows a group trip aboard a large boat named 'Thistle'. The film show scenes on board, with the group sitting together on deck and a young boy in a sailor uniform. The group play games on the beach, and go for a swim wearing one-piece swimwear. They dive into the sea from a board on the boat. Shots are taken from a small boat on the water.

Film of the Staley family on an outing on the South coast. Nellie Staley and her five year old daughter Pam board a ship at Portsmouth Harbour, and sail to the Isle of Wight. They are also seen boarding the Mauritania at Southampton, travelling to Cowes and returning to Portsmouth.
