A film from the Ellis family collection. Mr Phil Ellis captures scenes from outings and other events in the life of the Ellis family between 1948 and 1950. The film includes a trip to Rye and Tenterden in Kent, boating on the River Ouse at Barcombe Mills, East Sussex and a seaside outing to Brighton, as well as various other scenes of family activities in the countryside.
Round the Town
The film follows a cine camera man as he films scenes around the town of Tunbridge Wells, including Trinity Church, the Town Hall, the Opera House, the Pantiles, Chalybeate Spring and scenes of floats from the Tunbridge Wells Festival procession.

Sailing down the Panama Canal, the ship also stops at Curaçao and Trinidad. The second cruise is over Christmas, and visits Tangiers, Las Palmas, Tenerife, Madeira and Lisbon.
