A two film compilation. The first film shows Beach Hurst park and railway, near Haywards Heath with shots of the park, train sheds and the small gauge model railway being operated by several men. Film two shows a mix of unedited scenes for a Haywards Heath Cine society drama, on the theme of a village craft and garden show.
Footage taken by Gladys Bishop, of her granddaughter mowing the lawn at her home in Mulgrave Road, Sutton Surrrey, and her grandchildren performing a dance in animal and period costume at a fete in around 1955.

The film contains images of visitors enjoying fairground games, watching a cricket match, and handling army equipment. A plaque is unveiled, and following a Drum Head Service the troops perform a historical re-enactment of the 1759 Battle of Quebec.
