This compilation contains films of local interest which were exhibited in a newsreel format at the Capitol Cinema in Walton-on-Thames by its manager Clifford Spain. The events captured on film are primarily community-driven ones, filmed to attract their participants to the subsequent cinema screenings.
The story of Tansy, a shepherd's granddaughter, who is adored and mistreated by the men in her life, told over nearly an hour of footage and intertitles. Scenes are shot on location, setting action in the rolling hills of the Devon countryside, as well as interior sets. Intertitle styles make visual distinctions between spoken phrases by the characters, shown in bold white type over black, and the writer's voice, which is conveyed by elaborate script over the same still image. Several interjections are made by Hepworth himself, remarking on the narrative as it unfolds.

This amateur silent film was produced by the Bognor Regis Film Society in the late 1920s [?]. Members of the society act out a series of random and eccentric scenes, using a number of special camera effects that add to the unconventional nature of the film.

Two reels of amateur film with intertitles which chronicle a motoring holiday through the Highlands of Scotland. The holidaymakers explore the rugged landscape in three chauffeur-driven cars, stopping to watch the herring catch being unloaded at Oban and ending their trip in Edinburgh.

This short film entitled: "Cattle for shipment at Derby" shows a heard of Cattle being led from a field down a rural track road, to a large shipment container or railway carriage (next to a railway line?) at a farmstead in Derby. Following an intertitle: "On the 'Centaur", the final sequence shows a couple boarding a ship, followed by a brief shot of the couple on deck smoking cigarettes.
