This film from Lewis Rosenberg shows holiday scenes on Guernsey during the late 1930s, starting with the friends helping out on a farm, playing on the beach and competing with each other at various sports. When the holiday ends the group takes the ferry back to the mainland.
Welcome to Croydon
The film opens with a banner ‘Welcome to Croydon’. There are street and market scenes with trams and buses passing by. A couple change a flat tyre in a country lane. Scenes of towns in Surrey and Sussex include roadside picnics, motorcycles and sidecars, and views from Box Hill. Views at Birling Gap are followed by the group on the beach at Ryde and Shanklin where they play cricket. Various picnic scenes follow, and the film ends with views of the Brooklands race track.

This film shows a series of scenes of the Shippam family during a visit to a chapel, followed by views of a working harbour, filmed by Ernest Shippam in the 1930s.

This short film shows a ship moving into port slowly passing the camera, followed by shots of several men standing on boat deck dressed in hats and leather driving coats. A motorcar is lifted off the harbour and hoisted onto the deck of a ship. A group of men then crowd another man holding a sheet of paper, possibly awaiting further instructions. The film ends with a close up of several older men talking then turning to look at the camera (continues on TID: 6463).

This short film (continued from TID: 6462) shows several men standing on deck dressed in hats and leather driving coats talking to each other as two motorcars are hoisted onto the deck of a ship by a crane (additional ship deck shots on TID: 6481). The film closes with shots of several cars driving off the ship, once it has moored in a port.

This film shows a series of market and street scenes filmed outside Brussels Town Hall by Ernest Shippam during a holiday in 1931. Several women in traditional national dress pass the camera carrying their shopping, accompanied by young children.
This film shows short clips of a bi-plane flying over head and the Shippam family playing a game of golf in a garden. Five men with golf clubs prepare to hit golf balls simultaneously whilst standing in a line, behaving mischievously, hitting golf balls at each other.

This black and white film provides highlights of livestock and farm life on the Arrowsmith family farm in Berkshire. Mixed shots follow the construction of hayricks; farm workers building thatch topped straw stacks; Suffolk Punch horses working a field; and farmers dipping sheep in a dipping bath.
This Dufaycolor film shows a wedding procession and the crowds assembling outside a church. Two people are seen getting into cars parked on a residential street. This material is very dark and poor quality, picture detail is very limited.
