This extended intertitled travelogue shows a group tour through the counties of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset visiting many noted landmarks that includes the Madron Wishing Well and Chapel, standing stones of the Mên-an-Tol, the coast at Lands End with the "First and Last House" and the Daily Mail sign; Exeter; St Ives; the town of Clovelly in Devon; the moorlands of Dartmoor and Exmoor; the seaside towns of Penzance, Dawlish, Plymouth and Newlyn.
Trip to Cornwall
This film documents a Lauste family holiday to Cornwall during the 1930s. Emile, Bessie, Doris and Marcel are seen setting off from Tudor House by car. Whilst in Cornwall, they visit a number of places; handwritten intertitles are used throughout to describe places and events.
A film of the Emberton family on holiday in Slapton in Devon. The film features the young daughters, Jocelyn and Gillian, horse riding. Their mother, Kathleen, and the girls go on outings in the countryside and to the coast. The family are also filmed watching a fox hunt on Dartmoor and at a point-to-point race meeting.
