Description

The film opens with mixed views of various Sussex based Scouting and Guiding troops and companies marching together and then gathered for senior Scouting and Guiding officials including William John Genese, in the grounds of the Holy Trinity Church, Cuckfield. Senior members of the Guiding movement greet Rover Scouts and Guiding groups. The groups include the Uckfield and Haywards Heath Boy Scouts and Cubs followed by three companies of Guides from Haywards Heath.

The next part opens with a street view of a Scout pack marching up a High Street, accompanied by a group of Guides and their company leader. The next sequence features shots of several Guide groups as they exit a church including the Haywards Heath (St Wilfrid's) company and several Hassocks companies of Guides followed by a troop of Haywards Heath Scouts. Outside the Church, the troops and companies are greeted by several senior Guiding and Scouting leaders and dignitaries, followed by portrait views of individual Guides and other members of the public, ending with a brief portrait shot of two older women wearing fur hats and coats standing in the street.
