This film contains dark scenes of competitors in the motorcar and motorcycle speed trials at Gatwick; family scenes filmed by Mr Williams in Rottingdean, showing a crowd gathered outside the film-maker's shop and on the beach with the children; plus a brief shot of the front of the town hall, and a young woman posing for the camera.
This film contains a compilation of scenes that includes competitors taking part in the motorcar and motorcycle speed trials at Gatwick, with F.J Willams on his Cotton-Blackburne (No. 3) motorcycle. There are family scenes filmed by Mr Williams in Rottingdean showing a crowd gathered outside the film-maker's shop [possibly listening to a news programme on a wireless radio inside? ] and the family gathered on the beach with the children. There is a brief shot of the front of the town hall, filmed during its opening in 1935 (part of film TID: 8599), a young woman is seen posing for the camera in a studio and toddler, Hadyn Williams, is sat in a pram. Several shots are damaged or very dark, making it difficult to see the action.
