Wedding scenes, filmed outside the church and at the outdoor reception in Surrey by C. R. Coatts in around 1965.
Men in suits, including the groom, arrive at the church. Guests gather outside, wearing colourful hats of scrunched net or feathers. A woman stands in the doorway to the church, pointing a cine camera at the film-maker. Three young bridesmaids in dark blue silk dresses, holding white flowers, are helped out of a sleek black car. The girls pose for photographs as the guests enter the church. The bride arrives with her father. The pair walk to the church once her train is unhooked from the car. The newly married couple leave the church and stand in the entrance, the bridesmaids waiting behind. The bride wears a high headpiece, decorated with beads. Photographers and guests snap photographs of the wedding party.
At the outdoor reception, the newly married couple greet their guests. A guest arrives with a bin wrapped in paper as a wedding present. Interior scenes, of the wedding meal at a table decorated with flowers, follow. The bride, groom and bridesmaids pose for photographs in a rose garden. Guests talk and children play in the garden. The pair, having changed into smart suits say goodbye to their wedding guests.
