Summary

This colour film shows scenes of the family at Bridge Farm and on a holiday to Spain, visiting the Costa Brava.

Description

This film opens with wide views of Bridge Farm, livestock and farm machinery where the family are gathered in a garden at the farmhouse with family pets.

On a family holiday to the Costa Brava, the family sunbathe on a beach, snorkel and play together with an inflatable boat. A close-up of a sign: 'Playa de Aro' is followed by scenes of a busy street, with shops lining the pavements. A night-time montage sequence follows of illuminated signs and traffic lights including the 'Cosmopolitan Club'. In a garden two children play together with their toys, a washing up bowl and the family pets.

In the next sequence various shots show the children playing on a beach, a man snorkelling in the shallow water and the family eating a picnic on the sandy beach. A sign for 'Aiguablava', is followed by panoramic views of a beach with villas and hotels lining the hillside close to the water. In the next scene at a small children's playground, the family play together on a slide and swing set.

The next sequence shows views of a religious festival or Spanish flower festival with an ornate carpet of flowers lining the street (Girona?). Several boys and girls walk through a street dressed in formal attire - the girls in white dresses and the boys in Spanish uniform style suits. The film ends with views of people walking on either side of an ornate long display or carpet of flowers down the middle of a narrow street.
