This colour film with titles, music and voice over narrative explores the route of the Mole River in Surrey from its source to its confluence at the River Thames near Hampton Court Palace. The film opens and closes with titles and provides shots of the River Mole and tributary streams through Tilgate Lake, Furness Green, Three Bridges, Gatwick Stream, Deepdene Bridge finally ending at Hampton Court Palace where the River Mole meets the River Thames. The voice over is accompanied by mixed shots of an urban village under flood conditions, show people rowing boats on the streets and a high street with flooded shops and a bus stop is used to illustrate the power of the river when an urban area is flooded.
