A two part travelogue film showing a holiday to various locations in Poland, including Gdansk, Warsaw and Ostroda. [Only a short clip is shown online].
[Not included in online clip] The first section shows selected landmarks of Warsaw including Lazienki Park, with views of the palace and the Chopin monument. Also depicted are trips north to Ostroda, the Teutonic castle at Malbork, the port town of Frombork on the Vistula Lagoon and views of Gdansk.
[Included in online clip] The second section begins with views of the barrack ruins and monument at Westerplatte (Gdansk) which commemorate the first battle of the Second World War. The film continues with scenes showing the Second World War mass grave site at Palmiry (including the grave of executed Olympic athlete, and member of the Polish resistance, Janusz Kusocinski), and concludes with further views of Warsaw and landmarks such as the Palace of Science and Culture. (Many of the people shown here are also featured in TID:5831 'U Rodziny')
