Description

"Eastertime 1952"

Intertitle: "Good Friday - David's Birthday this year". The first film shows two boys going on an outing to Hastings from West Marina (St Leonards-on-Sea) Railway station, stopping to look at a large ship in a wooden glass case (?). They ride their push-scooters in the gardens at White Rock with views of the Pier Pavilion and Bandstand. The boys ride through town on their scooters, passing several shops, the Clocktower memorial and visit the seafront.

East Sunday - Picnic at Pett. (Lambs entertain us)"

The family take an outing to the Pett Levels via bus, with views of the coastline, and seafront. They take a walk along a set of railway tracks, have a picnic in a field surrounded by sheep and lambs, and visit the Two Sawyers public house.

"A visit from Harry and a pleasant drive"

Shots of two boys siting on a motorbike before swapping places with a man dressed in a full mechanic's suit. The final scenes show a car journey through Hastings town, along a dual carriage past Pevensey Castle on the A259, through Westham and into the countryside. "The End".
