Summary

This holiday film documents a family holiday to a rural lakeside location in Spain (Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife ?), followed by scenes of the family relaxing next to a pool and aboard a ship or ferry playing deck Quoits and posing for the camera during a rough sea journey.

Description

This film opens with scenes of tightly packed villas on a hillside and close-ups within the courtyard and exterior of a large villa hotel with amphitheatre-style ornate gardens.

The family take a sightseeing trip around the Island, filming a policeman or traffic warden directing traffic at the side of a road; panoramas of a dockside; landscape views of a hillside; a banana plantation (?); and a mother and child next to a car: (registration TF 7357) in a street with several local women walking on a road carrying baskets and other supplies on their heads.

The second part of the film shows views of a villa set beside a pool within a large plantation of palm trees, followed by views of a group socialising, swimming in a pool and diving off a diving board. On board a ferry or ship, two men play a game of deck Quoits, followed by shots of rough sea views as two men and a woman posing on on deck. The film ends with individual shots of the deck and sea and the group standing with other passengers gathered huddled together.
