Summary

This black and white film features the wedding day activities of Stella Reed, eldest daughter of Austin Reed, outside St Mark's Church on North Audley Street, London. A large number of friends and family attend the service, lining the street outside the church. The shots focus on family members and guests as they enter the shot.

Description

This film opens with family members and guests arriving in a fleet of wedding cars and vehicles outside St Mark's Church, North Audley Street, London, to attend Stella's wedding. The bride and the Reed family arrive and enter the church, followed by other guests and family members. Mixed scenes show the wedding couple exiting the church together and standing on the steps outside the church. A crowd gathers on the steps with them, and down onto a narrow street; followed by a shot of the couple with bridesmaids wearing cloche hats, a pageboy and a flower girl holding large bouquets of flowers standing in front of the church, who then get in a car together.

The film ends with family and guests jostling to get into cars as they arrive to collect them. Many of the women are wearing fur shawls and collars. The shots are tight into the action, focusing on family members and guests as they enter the shot.
