Description

"Preston Films present Springtime in Paris".

This compilation of film shows the family on holiday in Paris, travelling via ferry. On arrival the family stand in their hotel lobby for portraits, followed by shots of the group on a sightseeing trip around Paris accompanied by a teenage boy and a younger man in a Christian clergy shirt and clerical collar. They stop to pose next to the Eiffel Tower and tour the gardens below. The group visit the Church of Saint Louis des Invalides, the interior illuminated by chandeliers, followed by shots of a couple walking out in to the courtyard of L'Hôtel National des Invalides to tour the other historic buildings on site. An armoured tank stands guard near the military museum, on an adjacent square.

The family later tour the Arc de Triomphe standing on the top to view Charles de Gaulle place below, with busy traffic. Exterior views follow of the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur, Arc de Triomphe du Carousel, a street flower market, the Cathedral Church of Notre-Dame, and a brief interior shot of several of the Louvre Museum hallways.

The family take a river boat trip along Le Seine from Vedettes de Paris, later boarding a train from a mainline railway station. The film closes with a wide shot of a large house next to a road (Brighton ?), and a family gathering in the garden for portrait shots. End title: "Fin".
