Description

The film shows Guildford Castle and grounds including the flowering borders; the view over Guildford from Harvey’s department store roof garden; Guildford Cathedral tower being built; the Gasworks, the Friary Brewery buildings and tower. Army barracks are seen at the bottom of North Street. St Saviour's church, Woodbridge Road; St Mary's Church, and Clockface; and Holy Trinity Church, High Street. The George Abbot Hospital foundation stone is shown: “This Hospital was erected and endowed A.D MDCXIX....”. and a Church tower. A pond with a white Swan is shown. The film closes with views of a bridge, the High Street and a hospital building with a cupola on the roof (Farnham Road Hospital?).
