Captain C. R. Peckitt of the Royal Sussex Regiment records a family holiday to Sweden just prior to the outbreak of the Second World War. The holidaymakers visit Stockholm, go sailing on a yacht, traverse the locks on a canal on a steamer, and stop at Jönköping before returning home on the S.S. Britannia.
