Summary

An amateur film which records the events on Hove seafront to mark the presentation of the Honorary Freedom of the Borough to the Royal Sussex Regiment.

Description

The Royal Sussex Regiment, preceded by a marching band, and followed by Regiment veterans, processes through Hove to the seafront. Various seated VIP guests, including several Mayor, watch as a top ranking officer takes the salute from the Regiment as it marches past. The troops are inspected, speeches are given, official books are signed, and a commemorative silver bowl is displayed to those assembled. The Regiment is next seen marching through Hove streets before a wreath is laid at a stone memorial.
