Summary

The film-maker's family are seen on outings at various locations in the UK including: Chester Zoo; Jodrell Bank with views of several Radio Telescopes: Swanbourne: the New Forest: and at home in Worthing. Brief scenes show a CND march through London as filmed from a moving car.

Description

Images of floats on parade are followed by scenes at Chester Zoo, including a display of trained polar bears, and Bengal tigers amongst scenes of other animals including bears and deer. [Some shots are underexposed [large empty section of film between scenes].

The film-maker's daughter is then seen playing with puppies before the film cuts to images of a large Tudor timber-framed building - Little Moreton Hall in Congleton, Cheshire.

Footage from a road of the Radio Telescope array at Jodrell Bank (Macclesfield) includes views of the surrounding landscape and a sign: "University of Manchester Department of Botany Jodrell Bank Experimental Grounds". This is followed by further family scenes outside a row of new houses. Scenes from a park follow, with boys playing and family members rowing on a boating lake.

The next shots are of protesters on a London based CND demonstration march filmed from a moving car [out of focus and shaky], before more footage of ducks and swans on a lake or pond. Finally, the film-maker's family is filmed with ponies in the New Forest.
