Summary

The Headmaster of Mile Oak Approved Boys School films his pupils building sand sculptures on the beach at Walton-on-the-Naze. The boys enjoy the amusements on the pier, including dodgems and a rollerskating rink, and swim in the sea. The film-maker also films his young grandchild as a baby, and later as a toddler exploring the grounds at the Martello campsite.
