A map indicates the areas of marshland, the seaports, airfield, resorts and a coalfield. Sheep on graze on Romney Marsh. Cereal crops are being grown. At Chislet Colliery, there is footage of the miners and the coal being transported. People sit on a busy beach and promenade.

At Ferryfield Airport, Lydd, we see the terminal building, car park and direction board indicating services to Le Touquet, Calais and Ostend. ‘Silver City Airlines’ air freighters are shown touching down and taxiing. A Vauxhall Velox car is driven backwards down the ramp out of the aircraft. Passengers disembark and walk away from aircraft.

The French Railways' cross-Channel steamer ‘Cote d’Azur arrives stern first at Folkestone Quay from Calais. Passengers stream down the gangplank; some are then shown walking along Folkestone Harbour station platform to join the waiting train. The Guard waves a flag to signal the train's departure. A passing carriage headboard reads ‘Continental Express’. A train, headed by the Bullied Pacific, approaches and passes under a bridge.

There is footage of Covent Garden Market in London. Fruit and vegetables are unloaded from carts. The milk is unloaded at the London milk depot, ‘United Dairies’. Commuters walk towards London Bridge Railway Station. A train arrives at Coulsdon, Surrey. People walk towards the town. The film ends on a series of shots showing the farm workers, commuters, people on the beach, a ferry port and a train.
