Cyril Hayworth pt1
Amateur film-maker Cyril Hayworth filmed scenes and events in Lindfield in Sussex and the surrounding area during the 1940s 50s and 60s. Many of the films included Scouting and Guiding activities including fetes, parades, camps and events.
Based in Chichester, members of the Sadler family made a number of films in the area dating from the early 1930s up to the 1960s, with a strong collection made during the Second World War.

The Woodward family collection spans almost three decades from 1957 to the 1980s. The films record family scenes with the children at play, taking several outings, participating in school sports days and several family holidays to Paris, Germany and Spain. Of particular note are the films of Mr Woodward's time in Nigeria where he once lived and worked.
Royal Sussex Regiment Collection
A collection of films produced by and for the Royal Sussex Regiment dating from 1914 to 1960 when the Regiment was disbanded. The collection includes film of the first recruits joining the regiment at the start of the First World War along with parades at the Chichester Barracks and a promotional film recruiting for the Regiment in the late 1950s.

A further collection of Cyril Hayworth's Scouting and Guiding films, including: fetes, parades camps and events. The films show Haywards Heath, Balcombe, Slaugham, Forest Hill, and Sydenham branches within larger county camps. The collection also includes film of the wedding of his friends Mr and Mrs Forster.
