This large collection of films taken by Peter and Janet Ridgway shows various family trips and visits including: skiffing on the Thames at Laleham; Farnborough Air Show; scenes of the Bus garage at Fulwell with the last Trolley buses; several outings to Windsor Great Park; trips to the coast at West Wittering; Folkestone, and Shoreham; and holidays to Disneyland California, Whipsnade Zoo and the New Forest, among others.
The collection also features a series of films showing family moments including: several military weddings; Sir Winston Churchill's funeral train passing at speed through Staines railway station; and the film-maker's son Andrew receiving the Queens Medal of Honour at Sandhurst Military Academy.

[Children; Gardens; Day Out]
This edited family film shows the Ridgway family at home and visiting friends and relatives. The family film several group outings and trips ,including a visit to a river lock (Laleham), a picnic on a beach and the children playing with their toys in several gardens.
[Winter; Wedding; Last Trolley Buses; Hike]
This film shows the family playing in the snow and attempting to start a classic car with a hand crank. This is followed by plants in the lean-to greenhouse and shots of a friends wedding. The Fulwell Bus depot in Teddington shows the last trolley buses. The family go on several outings to Great Windsor park and the children play together at home.
[Whipsnade Zoo; Camping; Frozen Thames at Laleham]
This family film shows the Ridgways on several outings that includes taking a picnic in a field, visiting Whipsnade Zoo, watching boats moored on Penton Hook Lock and playing in the snow at home. The family also go ice skating and slide around on the frozen River Thames next to Laleham Golf Club.

This family film shows several outings and family scenes that includes portrait shots of a new-born baby, a brief shot of former Prime minister Winston Churchill's funeral train passing through Staines station, on route to Handborough and the family together at the Thames Valley Skiff Club rowing Thames Skiffs. The film closes with scenes of a beach outing to Shoreham-by-Sea to visit friends.
[Bill's Party; Garden Scenes; Farnborough Air Display]
This edited colour and black and white film opens with interior shots of a family gathering for Bonfire Night at their home in Laleham; including scenes of guests dancing and socialising together in the front room. The second part of the film shows a young toddler playing at home with a box and out in the garden with a hose. The final part shows a brief shot of aircraft during the Farnborough Air Show.

This film shows several outings and holidays that include: Craig Goch Dam in the Elan Valley; Broadway Tower in the Cotswolds; Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire; an outing to Windsor Great Park; and the family at their home in Laleham.

This edited film shows the home life of a family group with a new baby and toddler that includes bottle feeding the baby and going on an outing to a beach to paddle in the sea. The film also shows scenes of the toddler girl with her mother playing in a garden paddling pool, having her face and hands cleaned to remove strawberry jam and watching the heavy rain flood the family garden at home.

This film shows two family holidays, the first is a camping and caravaning holiday in the New Forest and the second is a trip to a cottage in South Wales. The final section shows a family outing to the Thames Valley Skiff Club regatta, where family members row several Thames Skiffs in the water with others watching from the river bank.

This edited colour family film shows an extended family on holiday at a camp site in the New Forest; on a beach holiday in Folkestone and together at home in the Laleham garden.
[Sandhurst Ceremony of the Queen's Medal]
This film shows a family outing to the RAF Manston museum; the family's camping holiday in Folkestone with a visit to the Leas Cliff funicular railway; and the Soverign's Parade at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, with the award of the Queen's Medal by HRH Princess Margaret to Andrew Ridgway.
This film shows post-wedding ceremony events outside St Paul's Church, Camberely, with the bride and groom gathered for wedding photographs. The bridesmaids wear blue hooded full length dresses. The next part shows snowy scenes of the family playing in the snow and clearing the front garden.

This colour film shows the family on a beach holiday in Folkestone, building sandcastles on the beach and swimming in the sea with an inflatable Lilo. The second scene shows brief shots of the family on holiday at a camp site near a cliff edge. The final film shows close-up shots of a mother and her baby sat in the garden, later joined by a young boy.

This film shows a family visit to 'Disneyland' and 'Marineland' in California whilst on a business trip, followed by a brief street scene of two children playing with a bicycle on a quiet Surrey street (Sunbury?).
